WE ARE STILL DESPERATE FOR FOSTERS.  IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ANY OF THE DOGS LISTED BELOW, PLEASE CONTACT US AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

IT'S RAINING HUSKIES!!!

This year has certainly started off with a BANG!  We are overwhelmed by the number of requests we are getting from all over Texas and beyond with huskies on Death Row.  Unfortunately, we are at our capacity and even have THIRTEEN in boarding right now!
We are desperate for foster homes.  In order to save any additional huskies from the shelters, we need to move our dogs out of boarding and in to foster homes.  See below for more information on each dog that's needing a foster home.  Their photo's are on the 'Huskies' tab above.

Jasmine - She is a very sweet girl, but has been abused, so she will need a very patient, kind, and experienced husky owner.  She's just as smart as a whip and would love someone to spend some quality time training her to be a trusting husky.  She is house-trained, crate trained and has good indoor manners.  She would do best as either an only dog or in a home with a bigger dog.  Absolutely NO children, cats, or small dogs.

Copper - He is a beautiful husky boy whose blue eyes stand out and look even brighter against his gorgeous red coat.  He is a young two year old who loves to play all day long, and would do best in a home with a friend or two and an active family that can help him use up some of his husky energy!  He is a super sweet boy who loves people and after all that playing, he would like nothing more than a warm lap to curl up in if you’ll let him!

Chase – He is very sweet, playful, puppyish, loves other dogs, giving kisses, getting pets, and needs a buddy in his new home.  He could use some training (especially with a leash), but is eager to please.  This guy will do best in an active household.  No small dogs or cats!

Aidan – He is a silly, energetic, playful husky pup with a uniquely colored coat.  Dog toys of all sorts are his favorite pastime.  Aidan gets along with other dogs, is housebroken and crate trained.  He will do best with older children as he may tend to knock the younger children down by accident.  He needs some work on leash and some additional training in patience.

Hagen -  This poor guy was an only dog left alone outside for his entire life.  He is very sweet but no one has ever worked with him.  He needs a patient person, who is familiar with the breed to work with him and teach him how to be a husky.

Lilly - Miss Lilly is quite the happy young lady.  She is not overly pushy and knows her manners!  She actually understands what the word “no” means AND, she will come when she is called!!  She had some skin issues that are being taken care of and now that she is feeling better, she is getting a bit more energy and puppy-like.  She loves playing with other dogs, yet she’s also happy just to play with her ball and chew toys.

Kadie – This gal is very much a joyful puppy . . . loves to play!  She will need a home with lots of energy and/or a packmate – and she is very good on walks.  All the dogs in the yard are her friends as well as all the people she meets.

Spirit – This guy is all white, very underweight but has SUPER high energy and playful. He will need a high energy home with another play pal or two.  He was dumped by his owner along with his brother Magic.  It would be awesome if they could stay together!

Magic - Magic is black/tan and is also underweight but not as much as Spirit.  He's a little alpha but loves to run and run and run.  He does have an issue with his right eye which will be checked out this week.  He and Spirit are littermates.

You provide food, lodging, training and TLC.  We will provide crates, collar, leash, tags and a happy waggy tail to be your best friend!
If you are interested in fostering, PLEASE email us at contact@texashuskyrescue.org!

FOSTERS NEEDED

We are in desperate need for fosters.

Below is our FEATURED DOG needing a foster home!

Copper is a very sweet 2 year old male husky that loves people and other dogs. He has a lot of energy so would be best to go to a home that can give him the exercise that he needs plus a playmate or two. He has beautiful coloring that make his blue eyes even more gorgeous!
